Baptism
“Go
and make disciples of all nations. Baptize them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
Matthew 28:19
Parishioners may call the parish office (733-1630) to make arrangements for
the baptism of their child. Parents attend a brief preparation session prior
to the date of baptism.
Baptisms are scheduled monthly on particular Saturday mornings or may be
arranged to be celebrated during a weekend mass.
Children of catechetical age (age 7 and older) will participate in the
Catechumenate process throughout one year. |
|
Confirmation
“But
you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you shall
be my witness in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and even to the end
of the earth.”
Acts 1:8
The
bishop administers the Sacrament of Confirmation every year, usually in
April. Candidates for the sacrament participate in a special preparation
program. Please contact the parish Director of Religious Education (DRE)
for information. |
|
Reconciliation (Confession/Penance)
Jesus
came and stood before them… then he breathed on them and said, ‘Receive the
Holy Spirit, if you forgive men’s sins, they are forgiven them, if you hold
them bound, they are held bound.”
John 20:22,23
Saturdays 4:15-5:00pm or by
appointment. Communal parish penance services are celebrated during Advent
and Lent.
First Reconciliation (for children age 7 and older) involves attendance in a
sacramental preparation program. Contact the DRE for information. |

Eucharist
“While they were eating, Jesus took a piece of bread, said a prayer of
thanks, broke it, and gave it to his disciples. ‘Take and eat it,’ he said;
‘This is my body.’ Then he took a cup, gave thanks to God, and gave it to
them, and said, ‘Drink it, all of you, this is my blood, which seals God’s
covenant, my blood poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell
you, I will never again drink this wine until the day I drink the new wine
with you in my Father’s kingdom.’”
Matthew 26:26-28.
Weekend
masses: see schedule.
Communion
to the sick: Contact the Pastoral Care Coordinator at the parish office to
make arrangements for a Minister of Holy Communion to visit the person. |
|
Matrimony
“A
man shall leave his father and mother and cling to his wife and the two
shall become as one.”
Genesis 2:24
According to the policy of the Diocese of St. Augustine, Florida, a couple
planning to be married must make arrangements with the priest at least eight
(8) months in advance. The couple meets periodically with the priest as part
of the preparation. They also participate in the day-long Pre-Cana Program
or an Engaged Encounter weekend. |

Anointing of the Sick
“Is
there anyone sick among you? Let him call for the presbyters of the church,
and let them pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.
This prayer made in faith, will save the sick person, the Lord will restore
his health, and if he has committed any sins, they will be forgiven.”
James
5:14,15
The
Sacrament of Anointing may be given to adults who are seriously ill,
preparing for surgery or weak due to age. Sick children if they have
sufficient use of reason to benefit from the strength and consolation of the
sacrament may be anointed. Please contact the parish office.
